This Candidate will work as a member of the Blue Vector Client Services team to perform
client deployments of Blue Vector’s RFID supply chain automation solutions. In this role, the
candidate will perform process analysis, project management, software configuration, client
training, client support, and problem resolution. This candidate will become an expert in the
functional capabilities of the Blue Vector suite of RFID applications. The ideal candidate
will play the following roles as part of Blue Vector’s implementation methodology and provide
Level 2 support assistance to the Client Support Team:

Project Manager: Develop and manage the client deployments, project schedules and project teams that may include Professional Services, Engineering, Installation Services, and Consulting |

Process Analysis: Evaluate current Supply Chain processes and design new processes that align with the capabilities of the Blue Vector suite of applications |

Functional Consultant: Specialize in the functional capabilities of the Blue Vector suite of applications including client training, software configuration, client support, system workarounds, and problem resolution |
 |
Candidate must be flexible to travel. |
 |
Candidate will be expected to manage more than one client project at the same time. |

| Location: Palo Alto, CA
Hardware design and development for sensor networking platforms. Requirements include B.S. in Electrical Engineering (M.S. preferred) with minimum 3 years direct hardware design experience. Hands on experience RF technologies is a plus. Looking for an independent self starter committed to delivering on aggressive deadlines who is comfortable in a team environment with ability to lead or to work with little supervision. Must be willing to travel, as well as provide hardware field support when required.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Board level designs including digital and analog subsections, board level hardware architecture, and component selection. |
 |
Capture the detailed design with schematic entry tools; generate the BOM and netlist, etc.
- Must be able to work with and manage outsourcing firms to subcontract components of the design
- Provide guidance and layout/routing requirements to PCB designer through the CAD design cycle. Ability to assess enclosure designs critical. |
 |
Bench and system level testing of new designs for verification against design specifications and corrections before release into production |
 |
Complete all documentation that is required throughout the board development cycle starting from theory of operation to test specifications |
 |
Communication and co-ordination with Software, Systems Engineering, System Validation, Compliance/Reliability and Manufacturing teams throughout the design and development cycle from concept through production. |
 |
Attend meetings, report progress, and take technical leadership to troubleshoot and fix defects. |
 |
Help investigate and collect information to resolve process or design issues found on a current design or in previous designs. |
 |
Provide guidance and mentoring to junior engineers hired into the team who may be tasked to perform some of the above duties. |
 |
Preferred (but not required) to be able to develop CPLD and FPGA for glue logic, including code, simulation, and verification |

SKILLS |
 |
Board level design for processor boards, FPGA's, analog sensors and some RF components.
- Project Management skills for on-time delivery while working with outsourcing firms

 |
CPLD/FPGA design using synthesis/simulation tools with the VHDL and/or Verilog. |

Use of standard bench level test equipment such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and protocol specific data pattern generator and Analyzers, and other supporting equipments |

Knowledge with digital and analog communication protocols and technologies including USB, RS232/485, etc. |

Strong hardware analysis, design, testing, troubleshooting, and documentation skills. |

Experience: |

4-5 years working in a supply chain environment (working for a software sales organization in addition to 2-5 years prior experience in solution delivery, product engineering or at a manufacturing/retail firm in this environment. |

RFID solutions experience- Integration of sensor based solutions with business systems, including ERP (SAP, Oracle, etc.) |
 |
Knowledge of ERP environments (Oracle and or SAP) |
 |
Consulting background desirable |
